This page will inform you about the process of obtaining plastic surgery through our office, and allow you to view and print important forms.
The term “plastic surgery” refers to both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Cosmetic surgery is for patients who wish to improve their appearance, and is usually not covered by insurance. Reconstructive surgery often repairs damage from disease, surgery, injury, or some problem present from birth. Such surgery usually restores function to the body and is often covered by medical insurance. Some procedures fall into a gray area between the two, and may or may not be covered.
A discussion of costs and payment is part of your first visit. You will leave with a comprehensive package of information, including fees and costs, and payment options, which you can consider before making a decision.
